The 21-year-old maximalist digicore rapper and producer consistently delivers total earcandy. That’s to be expected when you’ve been sticking to the same sound for years, but I really hoped to see him experiment a bit more, similar to Che’s recent trajectory.

There’s nothing wrong with staying in your lane and mastering your craft, and I do enjoy the bright, "happy shit," but the formula is starting to feel played out. In this current underground era, the artists who stand out the most are usually the ones constantly evolving.

Lyrically, Pretti remains an impressively expressive voice. He touches on genuinely deep themes like self-doubt and personal growth rather than relying on standard topics like money, drugs, and clothes. That emotional depth adds a whole extra layer to the project.

Production-wise, some of these beats are insane (the deposit beat goes so hard wtff). It shows just how complete of an artist Pretti is, which makes his hesitation to try new sounds even more noticeable.

That said, I don’t find this album disappointing at all. If you’re a Prettifun fan, you’ll love it. The transitions make this feel like the definitive Prettifun project, and I’ll definitely be revisiting a few of these tracks.

At the end of the day, Pretti is a genuine person who leads with positivity in both his music and his life. I’d never want him to make music that doesn't feel authentic to him, but I’d still love to see him take a few more creative risks on future projects.

Even though Prettifun loves you, he clearly doesn’t love stepping out of his comfort zone, and this record really proves it.
